Ƶ is excited to announce its of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) Cardiac Society.
The ERAS® Cardiac Society is a non-profit organization with the mission to develop evidence-based expert consensus statements promoting best practice recovery practices. Through collaboration, education, and dissemination of knowledge, the ERAS® Cardiac society aims to provide enhanced guidance and educational tools for the reduction of post-operative complications and costs after heart surgery.
The society recently published this outlining their recommendations for an optimal Cardiac ERAS® program. One of the 22 recommended interventions is to use a digital patient engagement platform such as Ƶ, to deliver standardized ERAS protocols and to collect ERAS-related Patient-reported Outcomes (PROs) such as pain, opioid consumption, and patient compliance.
Furthermore, Ƶ has consistently improved clinical outcomes for cardiac surgery. Cardiac centers using the platform have seen significant reductions in patient length of stay, 30-day readmissions, and costs. For example:
